My first music production of 2026! After my mothers passing, It took me quite some time to get back to making music as it was too emotional for me. I started exploring the possibilities of AI to make imaginary ideas of all kinds. This sparked a new drive to make my own cinematic shots for the music I like to make. It led me to setting up my new studio and I slowly started composing again:) For this first short music piece, I envisioned myself in a bladerunner type of city. The inspiration for the character you see here came from the game Halo and a bible passage, called Ephesians 6:10-18 - “Armor of God”An interesting fact about the music production is that I used a trick I learned from Hans Zimmer, which he used within the Dune movie for the Sardaukar Chant. This form of heavy compression technique created the background sounds that represent the drone’s.It means a lot to me to have finally made my first music piece again after I was completely emotionally blacked out. Five weeks ago, I heard your final breath and felt your heartbeat slip away. In that instant, the world grew quieter, heavier, and I stepped into a life I do not yet understand. Your passing has hit me very hard. Without you mum, without parents, without close relatives, I now face an unfamiliar world that no longer feels the same.This picture I took on the day of your funeral, inside the church where I went searching for a moment of calm. A few days earlier, you had asked for your necklace of Mary and Jesus; a mother and child, inseparable. You always carried it with faith, and now this symbol reminds me that our bond has no end.Life has shown me how fragile we are in so many ways. A single breath can separate presence from absence. But in that fragility lies a deeper truth: what is born of the heart lives beyond breath, beyond time. When life hangs by a thread, the masks we wear fall away, and the truth of who we are stands. An important and emotional moment for me. After 14 years, I was last week the first time on the golf course again. Finally able to pick up my love for the game. As a kid/teenager, I was obsessed with this game. There’s something timeless about the way nature and music speak to each other.Played around with a variety of string libraries, including brass, woodwinds, choir,low end percussion, and pad like synths. It also includes a fav layer of mine, which is flute together with the violin in unison for the melody, giving it a more majestical feel. #cinematicmusic #musiccomposer #nature #musiccomposition

In this cue, I’m layering triad chords in the trombone section to give the brass more harmonic weight without overpowering the rest of the mix as they dont muddy - they can handle that tight spacing with weight and clarity. I layer in other brass voices with more legato, spread-out voicings to give it extra weight and drama. The dynamics get shaped with CC curves to let them breathe naturally, including short breaks.
